• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for accurate diagnosis.

• Proficiency in PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and radiology software.

• Clear understanding of radiology protocols and safety guidelines.

• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments (e.g., emergency radiology).

• Excellent time management skills and organizational abilities.

1. Diagnostic Imaging & Interpretation

• Analyze and interpret imaging studies (X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, PET scans, mammograms, etc.).

• Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports to referring physicians.

• Differentiate between normal and abnormal findings to detect diseases (e.g., tumors, fractures, infections).

2. Interventional Radiology (if specialized)

• Perform image-guided procedures such as biopsies, angioplasty, embolization, or drain placements.

• Assist in treating conditions like blood clots, aneurysms, or cancer using minimally invasive techniques.

3. Patient Consultation & Collaboration

• Discuss imaging results with patients and referring doctors when necessary.

• Advise on further diagnostic or treatment options.

• Work closely with radiologic technologists to ensure high-quality imaging.

• Collaborate with other sonographers, radiographers, and healthcare professionals within the hospital.

4. Quality Control & Safety Compliance

• Ensure imaging procedures follow safety protocols (e.g., radiation protection, ALARA principles).

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, ACR, HIPAA).

• Participate in peer reviews and quality improvement initiatives.

5. Research & Continuing Education

• Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and techniques.

• Engage in clinical research and publications.

To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.
