∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with fisheries and permitting teams to secure federal, provincial, and territorial permits for major projects
∎ Oversee the design and implementation of fish and fish habitat programs in marine and freshwater environments
∎ Provide expert advice and guidance to clients and internal staff.
∎ Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex solutions to fish and aquatic habitat issues.
∎ Lead the development and monitoring of fisheries offsetting and compensation programs.
∎ Draft and review technical reports, including, environmental permitting, impact assessment and environmental monitoring.
∎ Manage the fisheries and aquatics components, monitoring, and regulatory permitting projects under the requirements of local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations.
∎ Mentor and advise junior technical staff.
∎ Participate in business development activities that will include actively promoting Intraco services to potential clients, strengthening existing corporate relationships, preparation of technical and financial proposals, and client negotiations.

∎ Aquaculture, Feed production, Fisheries
∎ Strong knowledge of the Federal, Provincial and Territorial fisheries regulations and guidelines.
∎ Experience working with a variety of project stakeholders, government agencies, and the public.
∎ Ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
∎ Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver fisheries projects.
∎ Technical excellence in fish and fish habitat, including offsetting, and associated riparian and aquatic features.
∎ Field skills in the following areas: fish and fish habitat baseline surveys, mark-recapture surveys (e.g., PIT and VIE tagging), effectiveness monitoring of restoration/offsetting projects, species at risk assessments, and riparian vegetation inventories.
∎ Proficient with federal, provincial and municipal regulatory and permitting aspects of infrastructure developments and submission of environmental permit applications (e.g., Fisheries Act and Water Sustainability Act).
