Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition and Food Science
∎ MSc in Nutrition and Food Science will be preferred
∎ An MPH degree will get an extra Priority

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the supervision of Project Coordinator, the nutrition officer will be responsible for the following main activities:
∎ Lead the implementation of effective community nutrition activities under CMAM including-screening, including detection, referral, and follow-up of acutely malnourished children
∎ Ensure the successful implementation of Infant and young child feeding practices (IYCF) community level along with mother-to-mother support group activities and community dialogue sessions.
∎ Ensure that volunteers are adequately trained and are regularly supporting screening and referring the SAM, MAM, and at-risk children.
∎ Ensure that the community nutrition volunteers' work plan is developed jointly with the team and implemented
∎ Ensure optimal community participation in the project by supporting the CFM including providing regular feedback to the community.
∎ Ensure quarterly listing of all the households in the targeted area including pregnant and lactating women, under-five children, and adolescent girls
∎ Liaising with other stakeholders operating in the sector within the same target area and identifying competent local resources to ensure complementarity.
∎ Liaise with relevant health partners for effective referral whenever necessary with PHC and stabilization centers.

∎ Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;
∎ Management may, at any point in time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshastha Kendra's interests in consultation with an incumbent.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Female candidates will be preferred
∎ Having the experience to work in the Rohingya Context with the health sector will be preferable
∎ Good command of the Chittagonian/ Rohingya language gets preference.
∎ Ability to communicate in the Rohingya language (spoken Chittagong dialect)
∎ Ability to cope with stress working in a camp environment.
∎ Flexibility to perform other tasks and take initiative when required.
∎ Cultural awareness/ sensitivity and empathy to the target population
