Job Context:
∎ Uttaran is an NGO working Bangladesh since 1985 (www.uttaran.net). Uttaran is a people cantered organization using a rights based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.
∎ Uttaran is going to implement a project in Satkhira Municipality Are of Satkhira district. The objective of the project is to increase the resilience of the communities by improving economic livelihood development, integrated service delivery (e.g. education, water and sanitation), addressing disaster and climate related human mobility.
∎ Expected Starting Date: July 01, 2022
∎ Duration of The Service : 22 Month
∎ Working Station: Uttaran Regional Office, Satkhira for 5 Community Facilitator and Educo’s Shyamnagar, Satkhira office for 3 Community Facilitator
∎ Employment Status: Full-time
∎ Report to: Project Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Community Facilitator will be responsible for the following tasks:
∎ Organize and coordinate different events in the community like meetings, training, day observation, learning visits, etc.
∎ Contribute to implementing gender mainstreaming in the program areas
∎ Contribute to establishing a good governance system at the beneficiary level to ensure transparency and accountability.
∎ Support community-level activities.
∎ Close coordination among slum authorities, UDMC, WDMC, Union Parishad, and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Provide support at the community level for organizing events, work-related activities, and training when required and data collection
∎ Collect good case studies from the field.
∎ Excellent training and facilitation skills including experience in skill development, and market linkage.
∎ Contribute to reviewing and adjusting the planning methodologies.
∎ Internalizing different monitoring tools and providing accompaniment support to the community
∎ Develop and maintain program monitoring and reporting system.
∎ Take note of evolving changes in seasonal, socio-economic conditions in the program area.
∎ Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly reports.
∎ Ensure quality monitoring data collection from the field for PDM and help to develop assessment reports.
∎ Community Facilitator will Mobilize slum dwellers in IGA and WASH activities
∎ Mobilize resources available at the targeted slums to ensure participation and contribution of the targeted communities.
∎ Sensitize and aware the community in changing their behavior for the education of their children, hygiene behavior and resilient economic livelihood
∎ Organize community to provide support for different need assessments for project activities
∎ Process documentation, collection, and compilation of required information from the community.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 years of experience working in a similar position within the NGOs.
∎ Experience in food security, livelihood, DRR, education, water and sanitation development.
∎ Age limit: Maximum 40 Years
Salary:
∎ Monthly salary BDT. 20,000 to BDT. 25,000
