Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. CB is implementing 87 on-going projects covering 209 upazila focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare and Community Development, ii) Quality Education, iii) Health Care and Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Development and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.

∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox`s Bazar is looking for suitable candidates (both female & male) for immediate appointment as well as to prepare panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise a team of Volunteers residing in the Rohingya camp.
∎ Issue the daily and weekly planning of Volunteers.
∎ Ensure quality of household visits (confidentiality, listening, information sharing, referral).
∎ Conduct GBV prevention sessions in the camp and ensure quality of the sessions.
∎ Ensure good communication, trust and team spirit in the team of volunteers.
∎ Reporting of field-level activities.
∎ Provide individual evaluation of Volunteers intervention, adequate advice and support for improvement
∎ Facilitate meetings and feedback sessions, identify their needs
∎ Support improvement of their skills and knowledge on general protection issues, Gender-Based Violence and Child protection.
∎ General protection responsibilities;
∎ Follow referral pathways and the reporting system and train staff as needed.
∎ Mapping Protection agencies in the field and remain updated on services available, resources to be shared, and protection issues that arise.
∎ Be aware of protection issues and trends in areas of operation, and report any new protection trend.
∎ Coordinate with protection focal point and other community outreach members programs as needed.
∎ Protection Mainstreaming and Quality Programming:
∎ Uphold the strictest confidentiality and protection of data pertaining to beneficiaries and Caritas Bangladesh staff and volunteers, and reinforce this confidentiality in the field.
∎ Understand Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse and Safeguarding policies, and uphold duties as a mandated reporter.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 1-year experience in Women & Child Protection, programming, with a preference for experience in Emergency Protection Programming (Preferably Experience working in Rohingya camp)
∎ Experience in social work, protection, counselling, and psychosocial support.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal communication skills.
∎ Ability to work in a team to engage and motivate staff in a challenging program environment.
∎ Able to counsel on appropriate behavior of the staff.
∎ Able to problem solve and identify resources in the environment.
∎ Computer: MS Word, Internet, E-mails, Excel.
∎ English and Bangla required. Proficiency in Rohingya dialect preferred.

Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
