Job Context:
∎ The clinic Manager will act administrative head of the GK Health Center (HC) and will also do clinical consultation; she/he Will Make the duty roster (OPD/IPD) in consultation with the Project Coordinator. He will coordinate with CIC, Camp Health Focal, and other relevant stakeholders. He will participate/ delegate relevant staff to attend important meetings in the camps.
∎ Working Place: Bhasanchar, Noakhali
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide administrative support to staff working in the facility and also make sure the health facility is users friendly with adequate waiting space and other facilities
∎ Provide clinical consultation in the health facility
∎ Prepare and ensure duty roster for the staff
∎ Ensure timely data collection, compilation and submission are done as agreed after review
∎ Support and supervise other health Staff (Medical Assistants/Paramedics/Nurse/Others) to ensure quality service delivery.
∎ Supervise and monitor community outreach activities in consultation with the community outreach officer
∎ Ensure necessary drugs, material and equipment for consultations and patient management
∎ Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when performing curative health consultations
∎ Monitor actively in triage activities
∎ Take part in OPD and IPD activities as per existing SOPs and Guidelines
∎ Explain the outcome of treatment for the patient
∎ Give individual health education related to the patient's disease
∎ Manage emergency cases, according to GK/UNHCR protocols and regulation
∎ Refer cases, according to GK/UNHCR referral pathway and procedure
∎ Fill in the morbidity chart according to the diagnosis for each patient
∎ Take lead in Facility-based health committee meetings and prepare minutes and share with stakeholders
∎ Keep close contact with Assistant Health Coordinator, MHPSS, and Community Outreach officer for technical support
∎ Investigate any information regarding unusual health events or disease outbreaks.
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected and treat all the patients with respect and dignity
∎ Any other duty relevant to the post assigned by GK
∎ Special Note
∎ Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by the Health Coordinator of GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;
∎ Management may, at any point in time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshastha Kendra's interests in consultation with the incumbent.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum 1-year working experience in the Rohingya camp will be preferred
∎ Ability to cope with stress working in the camp environment.
∎ Flexibility to perform other tasks and take initiative when required.
∎ Cultural awareness/sensitivity and empathy to the target population.
∎ Awareness and observation of universal medical ethics.
