Education:

Professional certification is mandatory — CPA, CA, CMA, CFA, ACCA, or CIA. (Applicants without one of these certifications will not be considered).

A Master’s degree or MBA in Finance will be an added advantage.

Additional Requirements:

At least 10  years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, and Strategic Planning.

At least 3–5 years of experience in a senior leadership role (preferably as CFO/Head of Finance) in a large-scale manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, or energy sector organization.

Proven expertise in arranging syndicated loans, equity funding, and financing large-scale projects with local and international financial institutions.Experience in organizations with annual turnover exceeding BDT 100 crore is preferred.

Strong knowledge of Bangladesh’s financial and regulatory frameworks, including BSEC guidelines, IFRS/IAS standards,  corporate tax and VAT laws.

Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and financial modeling tools.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.         High level of integrity, confidentiality, and interpersonal leadership.

As part of our continued growth and commitment to financial excellence, we are looking for a highly qualified, visionary, and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Group’s financial strategy and management across all business concerns.

Job Context

The CFO will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for steering the organization’s overall financial management and growth strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure robust financial governance, optimize capital structure, drive innovative financing solutions, and maintain compliance with both local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for all business units — including LPG, CNG, power, oil tanker, coal transportation, and real estate operations.

Develop, implement, and oversee efficient accounting systems and internal financial controls to ensure transparency and accuracy.

Supervise financial reporting, taxation, auditing, and treasury operations in compliance with IFRS/IAS, the Companies Act, BSEC, and VAT & Tax Ordinances.

Prepare and monitor the annual budget and capital plan, analyze variances, and propose corrective actions for improved performance.

Design and execute funding strategies for business expansion — including syndicated loans, preferential shares, project financing, swaps, and IPO/Non-IPO initiatives.

Drive revenue generation plans through creative financing and operational efficiency models aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Manage financial risks, ensuring effective mitigation of market, operational, and compliance-related risks within the energy sector.

Collaborate closely with the Managing Director/CEO and Senior Management Team to optimize capital structure, ROI, and cost control measures.

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, regulatory authorities, and key financial stakeholders.
