  • Facilitation, and mobilization skills to communicate with project participants both at camps and host communities.

Job Summary:

PROTTYASHI, a social development organization has been working for the development of disadvantaged population of the country since its establishment with an aim to ensure everyone to live with dignity and prosperity. PROTTYASHI reaches the community with basic needs and supports to save lives and facilitate all the people of the community to live with equal value and priority. PROTTYASHI is going to implement “Unity in Action: Cultivating Sustainable Livelihoods, Community Leadership and Social Harmony in addressing Climate Challenges in Host and Rohingya Communities” project in Rohingya camps and surrounding host communities in partnership with Oxfam in Bangladesh (OiBD) to ensure a holistic development and empowerment within these communities promoting sustainable livelihood, protection and gender equality within the targeted communities. PROTTYASHI invites applications for the vacant position titled- Center Facilitator for the Project and encourages the persons enthusiastic to contribute to the humanitarian crisis affected people in Cox’s Bazar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement overall skill development and livelihood activities to be implemented in and around the skills center including skill training, enterprise development

  • Based on project design and plan, implement skill training events that will prepare the participants for employment generation further.

  • Implement anticipatory actions and disaster risk reduction initiatives in line with the project contingency plan during any emergency period.

  • Form youth led community groups and implement youth led disaster risk reduction initiatives like tree plantation, climate smart kitchen gardening, household-based waste management in host and refugee communities.

  • Oversee the cash for work initiatives to construction of community infrastructures.

  • Keeping record of the daily activities of the training center including training and further beneficiaries’ engagement on production activities.

  • Avail all the technical and logistics requirements for the facilitation of training.

  • Oversee and track participants’ attendance and performance in the training center.

  • Identify challenges in accomplishment of skills training and report to the management to take necessary actions to resolve these.

  • Ensure overall maintenance of the training center through availing supports from other sections of the project.

  • Facilitate community based disaster preparedness and response initiatives as per project design and plan.

  • Facilitate awareness initiatives on the prevention of GBV, such as organizing folk songs in the communities, networking with Rohingya widows and household female heads, and overseeing referrals; services by community-based volunteers.

  • Maintain coordination with youth groups, youth and women leaders, Girls’ climate networks as necessary.

  • Organize women and Girl led Mini leadership initiatives at the host and refugee communities.

  • Ensure humanitarian principles are in practice in facilitating training to the participants through availing necessary supports and facilities.

  • Ensure PSEA and safeguarding of the training participants according to the organizational policies and practices.

  • Ensure active complaint and feedback mechanism in place in the training center coordinating with central CFM unit.

Contract Duration: Initially for 31/12/2024 with possibility of further extension up to 30/06/2025 depending on the performance and funding availability.

Job Other Benifits:

    Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be 30,000 BDT with regular traveling and communication bill.
