Education: - Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in social sciences, development and humanitarian studies, social work
- Bachelor's degree preferably in social sciences, development and humanitarian studies, social work, or other relevant subject area.

Additional Requirements: - At least 2 years and at least 1year of experience in the field of case management work.
- Applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Working experience in Program in a National / International NGO.
- Women, PWD and Ethnic Minority applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Work experience on child protection system and community development at rural area will give priority in selection process.
- Experienced in case management work
- Clear understanding of the need for psychosocial support for the most vulnerable children
- Experience working with vulnerable and at-risk groups
- Demonstrated experience in coordination with Child Protection actors, garments workers, garments owners, service providers, duty bearers etc.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Teams
- Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Resilient, flexible and gender-sensitive
- Ability and willingness to travel to the field.
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Proactive and have the desire to learn and build professional expertise
- Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field area in the Project Area.
- Knowledge in community development, ability to work under timeline, facilitating participatory training, conducting the workshop, brainstorming sessions, focus group discussions, simulation, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team-building capacity, problem-solving skills.
- Good writing and speaking skills in English and Bangla.
- Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Responsibilities & Context: Job Context:
Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project named ‘Strengthen Children Of RMG worker’s Protection and Education rights (SCOPE) at Mirpur and Savar in Dhaka District. The project is implemented by BTS and the support of ‘Save the Children International.’ BTS is going to recruit the ‘Case Worker’ for the mentioned project and the position’s desk office will be at Dhaka.
Project Name: Strengthen Children Of RMG worker’s Protection and Education rights (SCOPE)
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Provide direct psychosocial and practical support to the child and his/her family as well as liking them to the most appropriate services and community support.
- Conduct vulnerability mapping/assessment to identify the most marginalized children in project locations.
- Ensure the identification, registration, assessment, case planning, and referral, direct service provision towards follow-up for vulnerable and at-risk children.
- Establish effective relationships with children, parents, teachers, SMC members, community people, slum leaders, local duty bearers, and service providers.
- Visit and meet key community members to inspire and engage them in PRoNE intervention.
- Conduct mapping of services in the target area.
- Assist in organizing Case conferences, if needed.
- Provide essential information on available services and support survivors in navigating the referral pathways and accessing services.
- Respect confidentiality regarding the context of case management intervention, except when exchanging information with other team members to draw joint action plans in the best interest of the beneficiaries.
- Assess risks in the field and consider possible risk management strategies.
- Document all program and beneficiary’s activity in an accurate and timely manner using standardized tools and forms. Participate in data collection, mapping exercises, and organize interviews and group discussions.
- Work with the safeguarding focal point to assess risks and local mitigation.
- Ensure data protection complies with internal protocols.
- Maintain a high standard to organize community mobilization related activities in the working locations.
- Make a need assessment of the beneficiary for capacity development.
- Arrange/ recommend training for the program participants, duty bearers, service providers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Act to implement child safeguarding policy of SCI and Phulki for everyone concerned at every meeting or gathering.
- Make necessary field visits to assess the quality of the action of the project and keep notes of the findings
- Undertake any other duties that may be determined by the supervisor.
Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.
Tenure of Services Contract:
3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.
Job Other Benifits: Salary and other benefits: Gross: Taka 23,100/= per month
2 days weekend
Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
