Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Provide technical support to ensure quality implementation of the CM component
∎ In collaboration with the Technical Officer-Protection, ensure CM Officers have been oriented in the Case Management Standard Operating Procedures at the Cox’s Bazar level, and the Inter-agency Guidelines on Case Management and Child Protection as well as the inter-agency CM Tools and Flow Chart.
∎ Conduct weekly one-to-one case supervision meetings with CM Officers in which complicated cases are discussed and jointly planned responses are developed. Prepare cases ready for closure and provide all necessary guidance.
∎ Conduct bi-weekly case management meetings to share case experience among CM Officers and work with other agencies where appropriate.
∎ Apply the supportive child protection case management supervision tools and overview the quality implementation of case work by supervising CM Officers.
∎ Work together with the Family Tracing and Reunification (FTR) work stream and ensure that referrals are clearly documented and that services are provided to Unaccompanied and Separated Children.
∎ Ensure all cases are documented properly in the CP Information Management System (CPIMS+).
∎ Provide regular updates to CM Specialist on the progress of the implementation, challenges faced, and additional support needed.
∎ Work in close collaboration with the community systems to strengthen the relationship with the community in line with the referral system.
∎ Work with the relevant team and stakeholders especially protection, education and SOYEE team to ensure close links between case management and YPSA’s work with community protection mechanism, DICs, learning centers among others.
∎ Ensure safeguarding compliance (this include visitors and media protocols, partnering with communities and other agencies or CBOs and children participation) with YPSA policies, CPSS standards and guidelines.
∎ Work closely with the team to generate quality reports.
∎ She/ He will develop different schedules, modules and guidelines according to the project needs.
∎ Assist Project Coordinator for qualitative reporting (Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly/ Event Report) to the Donor and 5W report to the sub-sector.
∎ Maintain good communication with the Plan International Bangladesh Protection and Child Protection team and Stakeholders to adhere the child protection concerns.
∎ Collaborate with teams to generate activity concept notes and review financial reports to maintain accurate spending reports and up-to-date budgets.
∎ Follow up with Camp and Host level accountability staff to respond to feedback from areas of implementation to strengthen case management implementation
∎ Facilitate donor’s field visit to ensure proper communication and relationships between Plan International and communities.
∎ Ensure proper communication and coordination with Child protection sub-sector (CPSS), Case Management technical working group (CMTWG) sector focal in camp level. Ensure YPSA Vision is appropriately represented during CiC meetings,CP focal point meetings, case conferencing, DSS Upazila level meetings among others.
∎ 2. Staff Capacity Building
∎ Design and facilitate capacity development activities/training of CM staffs and volunteers in the areas of CM guiding principles, identification, registration, case planning, referrals, follow-up, and case closure, communicating with children, identification of signs of abuse, working with community structures, providing psychological first aid, etc.
∎ Provide on-the-job coaching and support to the CM Officers (of Plan International and partner organization) in technical aspects of the program and cluster coordination.

YPSA is implementing a project titled “Youth from Host Communities and Rohingya Camps in Cox’s Bazar as Agents of Change” project (YPSA-YHCRCCAC Project)” at Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar. The project is being implemented with fund from the Federal German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and technical support from Plan International Bangladesh.
