Responsibilities & Context:
  • Meet with clients to understand event requirements, timelines, menus, and special requests.

  • Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accuracy.

  • Coordinate with Sales, Culinary, Stewarding, Housekeeping, and AV teams for smooth event preparation.

  • Conduct pre-event briefings with banquet staff and ensure everyone understands the setup, menu, and service style.

  • Oversee the setup of banquet halls according to BEO (layout, décor, audio-visual arrangements, linen, buffet setup, etc.).

  • Ensure timely and professional food & beverage service throughout events.

  • Inspect event spaces before guest arrival to ensure cleanliness, setup accuracy, and safety.

  • Handle VIP events and ensure personalized service.

  • Supervise banquet supervisors, captains, waiters, and casual staff.

  • Schedule shifts and manage manpower according to event requirements.

  • Train staff on service standards, grooming, etiquette, and event procedures.

  • Maintain high staff morale and discipline.

  • Welcome hosts and ensure all event requirements are met.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and handle complaints professionally.

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.

  • Monitor banquet expenses and control breakage, wastage, and overtime.

  • Review event bills for accuracy before handing over to the accounts team.

  • Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue improvement.

  • Track equipment inventory and coordinate with the purchasing team for replacements.

  • Ensure all banquet operations follow hotel policies, hygiene standards, and local regulations.

  • Maintain fire safety, emergency procedures, and food safety standards.

Conduct regular safety checks of equipment and event areas.
