Experience:
Proven experience in internal/external auditing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Proficiency in hotel PMS (e.g., Opera), POS systems, and accounting software (e.g., Sun, SAP, QuickBooks).
Financial Audit Duties:
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial audits including income, expenses, payroll, cash handling, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger entries.
Examine revenue reports (Rooms, F&B, Other departments) for accuracy and completeness.
Verify night audit summaries and reconcile revenue against supporting documentation.
Check all cashier reports and verify all deposit slips, receipts, and reconciliation.
Compliance & Risk Assessment:
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, statutory regulations, and brand standards.
Identify internal control weaknesses or fraudulent activities.
Monitor tax filings, licenses, and legal documentation for compliance.
Operational Audit:
Audit procurement and inventory processes (especially for F&B).
Verify contract compliance (vendors, service providers, and staff outsourcing).
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely audit reports with findings, discrepancies, and actionable recommendations.
Present findings to senior management or the audit committee, when required.
Maintain audit working papers and documentation per audit standards.
Process Improvement:
Recommend changes to improve financial systems, controls, and processes.
Work with department heads to implement improvements and monitor follow-up actions.
Support & Coordination:
Assist external auditors during statutory audits.
Coordinate with the finance and operational departments to obtain necessary data for auditing.
Audit Report Preparation Duties:
Gather and analyze financial data (GL, P&L, balance sheets, etc.).
Summarize audit procedures, findings, and conclusions.
Highlight areas of concern, policy deviations, or inefficiencies.
Provide risk ratings (High, Medium, Low) for each finding.
Recommend specific corrective actions and assign responsibilities.
Include audit scope, objectives, methodology, and timelines in each report.
Submit reports to the Financial Controller and General Manager.
