Qualifications & Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, customs clearance, and international shipping.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in ERP/logistics systems and advanced MS Excel reporting.
Responsibilities & Context:
Supervise and oversee day-to-day ocean freight operations (import/export).
Manage relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
Negotiate competitive freight rates and monitor market trends.
Ensure compliance with Incoterms, HS Codes, customs regulations, and international trade policies.
Review and approve critical shipping documents.
Monitor and analyze freight costs; recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Resolve escalated shipment issues, delays, or claims.
Provide guidance and training to Executives/Officers and Assistant Managers.
Prepare regular performance and cost reports for management review.
