Job Context:
The Assistant Engineer (Design) will support the engineering design team in preparing, reviewing, and coordinating technical designs, drawings, and calculations for electrical/mechanical/civil projects (adjust wording based on discipline). The role involves close collaboration with project, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure accurate and standard-compliant engineering deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of engineering designs, layouts, and detailed drawings as per project requirements.

• Develop and update design documents, GA drawings, SLDs, schematics, and technical specifications.

• Perform engineering calculations, design analysis, and technical evaluations following applicable standards (IEC/IEEE/NFPA or project standards).

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and clash-free execution.

• Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications.

• Support preparation of BOQ, material take-off, and technical comparison sheets.

• Assist senior engineers in design optimization, cost reduction, and technical problem solving.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements during design development.

• Prepare design reports, method statements, and technical documentation.

• Provide technical support to site execution, testing, and commissioning teams when required.

• Maintain proper document control and revision tracking of all engineering drawings.
