∎ Basic knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
∎ Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls).
∎ Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
∎ Experience with server hardware (RAID, storage management) is an advantage.
∎ Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) are a plus.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
∎ Good communication and documentation skills.
∎ Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Server Administration:
∎ Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.
∎ Monitor server performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
∎ Support the deployment of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
∎ Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
∎ Ensure system backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.
∎ Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices ( server, routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
∎ Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems to senior engineers.
∎ Support VLAN configuration, IP subnetting, and network security measures.
∎ Security & Compliance:
∎ Assist in implementing security best practices for servers and networks.
∎ Monitor logs for suspicious activities and work on incident response with senior engineers.
∎ Support compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
∎ Technical Support & Documentation:
∎ Provide L1/L2 support for server and network-related issues.
∎ Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures.
∎ Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades and new technology deployments.
∎ We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled young, energetic, dynamic Assistant System Engineer (Server and Networking) to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior engineers to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems.
