Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering
∎ 4-years Bachelor degree in relevant subject with all first class or minimum CGPA 3.5 on a scale of 4. And At least 5 years of active teaching experience. Education qualification may be relaxed in case of Ph.D. holder with at least 2 years of active teaching experience.
∎ Note that the candidate should have at least 03 (three) publications in reputed journal. Predatory Journal publication is not acceptable. Conditions are relaxed for those with more experience/higher degree.
∎ Skills Required: Sound Computer skill and good communication skill.

Job Context:
∎ Saic Group contributes their effort on a large scale in the education sector in Bangladesh. Almost 1000 (Administrative + Academic) staff is employed under SAIC Group. And about 15000 Students continue their study under Saic Group. Saic Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT) is looking for Assistant Professor (CSE, EEE, Civil, Mechanical) for B.Sc. Engineering courses under Dhaka University.
∎ The Assistant Professor main focus should be to develop and maintain effective educational programs within his/her Department and to promote the improvement of teaching and learning.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To prepare course outlines, course calendars, lesson plans, and tutorial schedules for students and conduct theoretical and practical classes.
∎ To prepare questions, invigilate tests and exams, and mark and grade scripts and assignments.
∎ To guide and supervise project work, internship, dissertation, or thesis as and when assigned.
∎ Guide and supervise students as they participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
∎ Attend meetings as and when required.
∎ To teach courses in their subject area and to assess students’ progress by grading papers, tests, and other work.
∎ To serve on academic and administrative committees that review and recommend policies and budgets or advise on hiring and promotions within their department.
∎ Maintaining accurate records of grades and other academic data such as attendance records or student transcripts
∎ Providing feedback to students regarding their performance in class or in other activities such as applying for internships or preparing papers or reports
∎ Any other duty assigned time to time by the Management.
