Education:

Bachelor Degree in Industrial Production Engineering, Leather Technology, Footwear/Production Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC within manufacturing, preferably in the footwear, polymer, or related industries.

  • Proven track record in implementing quality control processes, handling inspections, and reducing defects or customer complaints.

  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior QC staff and coordinating with production teams.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC methodologies, standards, and best practices in manufacturing (ISO, ASTM, etc.)

  • Ability to identify defects, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • High attention to detail for inspection, documentation, and compliance with specifications.

  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements to enhance product quality.

  • Understanding of footwear materials, production processes, and testing methods.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee quality control processes and procedures across all production lines.

  • Conduct inspections, identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and communicate findings to management.

  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

  • Train, guide, and supervise QC staffs, Inspectors fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and merchandising teams to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, minimize rework, and enhance product reliability.

  • Monitor supplier quality and coordinate with vendors to ensure incoming materials meet required standards.

  • Lead quality audits and participate in certification or compliance processes.

  • Support new product development by evaluating prototypes and ensuring quality standards are incorporated from the design stage.
