Education:
    • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Law
  • Enrollment with Bangladesh Bar Council and membership of Dhaka Bar Association, Chittagong Bar Association is required.

  • Permission to practice before the Honorable High Court Division will be considered an added advantage

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with external lawyers for case follow-ups, updates, and rescheduling of hearings or legal proceedings.

  • Draft, review, and prepare contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.

  • Provide updates on relevant laws, rules, regulations, and compliance requirements under the laws of Bangladesh.

  • Attend court proceedings at the High Court Division, CMM Court, and other legal offices as a company representative.

  • Draft and finalize legal documents including agreements, Power of Attorney (POA), Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), affidavits and any other legal instruments as advised by management.

  • Handle all aspects of legal compliance relating to Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 (BLL), Bangladesh Labor Rules (BLR) and amendments as required.

  • Review existing recruitment process documentation and recommend changes wherever it is required as per law.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of industrial relations within the organization.

  • Act as the primary liaison between management and other competent authorities ensuring smooth negotiations and conflict resolution as per law.

  • Lead bargaining processes wherever it is required for a productive, fair and transparent agreements.

  • Maintain contacts with concerned government departments, BGMEA, law enforcement, and key stakeholders.

  • Perform additional legal and administrative duties as assigned by Management.

  • Ensure effective handling and timely completion of all legal cases.

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on laws, rules, and compliance requirements.

  • Represent the company professionally in court proceedings and legal offices.

  • Deliver legally sound contracts, agreements, and documentation.

  • Achieve smooth industrial relations and maintain constructive negotiations.

  • Secure fair and productive collective outcomes.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.

  • Ensure strict adherence to labor laws and organizational policies to minimize risk.

  • Maintain strong and effective contacts with government departments, BGMEA, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
