Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring accurate maintenance of all financial records, ledgers, and accounts
∎ Oversee the processing of invoices and payments; process all payments via banks and ensure all banking transactions & relations are properly managed
∎ Assist in the completion of the annual statutory audit of the financials, ensuring swift communications with auditors and meeting audit requirements
∎ Manage company secretarial activities - ensuring compliance with Corporate Regulations, share transfer process etc; dealing with Bangladesh Bank, BIDA and RJSC related matters
∎ Manage VAT and Income Tax related work of the company including all VAT and income Tax related queries and filings in the appropriate manner
∎ Review and ensure proper documentation and maintain necessary records with respect to Income Tax-related issues including TDS, VDS, VAT, AIT, and other related documents
∎ Ensure maintaining effective communication with VAT and Tax Officials
∎ Prepare and file of withholding Tax Return
∎ Carry out any other duties assigned by the authority as and when necessary
∎ Must be a confident & dynamic individual who is proactive, optimistic and willing to take up challenges
∎ MBA/BBA in Accounting or Finance
∎ CA CC/CMA/ACCA partly qualified is preferred
∎ 3-7 years of relevant corporate experience
∎ Skilled at MS Office applications, accounting software (QuickBooks) and data analysis
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
∎ Key Responsibilities:

Almost 10 Million farmers across the country do not have access to finance. With hopes of addressing this problem, WeGro provides investment and guidance to smallholder farmers who are otherwise unable to access formal financing elsewhere. Additionally, farmers can also avail access to agricultural input and access to markets. All of the projects are insured, monitored, scrutinized and available for the financiers to visit. After the output is produced, we sell the products to their partners (Chaldal, Parmeeda, Apon Wellbeing, Khaas Food Limited, etc.), thus ensuring fair prices for the farmers. Our profit sharing model ensures that the farmers and the financiers receive a share of the profit and the ROI is higher compared to other financial instruments.
