Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance Accounting, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics
∎ Knowledge of SAGA or any other accounting software would be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: Manage the bases’ cash payments and timely recording of the transactions for the Action Against Hunger at Dhaka
∎ Sort and vouch financial documents to ensure they are in accordance with required procedures and guidelines and maintain a good working relationship with LOG in this connection.
∎ Calculate applicable VAT/TAX, prepare, challan and Summary of Payment invoices.
∎ Maintain and implement Cash Payments and procedures in line with Action Against Hunger requirements.
∎ Manage other cash payments relating to Salary Advance, medical expense, Payments to daily hires, field allowances, COLA, PERDIEM etc.as per Action Against Hunger Policy and Procedures.
∎ Monitoring of the petty cash to ensure sufficient funds are always available depending on the program needs.
∎ VAT and Tax are deducted and deposited as per government rules and regulation.
∎ Translate accounting documents as needed.
∎ Ensure security and Safety of Petty Cash as per policy and procedure.
∎ Identify any risks of fraud and corruption in daily ACF operation in Bangladesh.
∎ Ensure, relevant/ appropriate project code, accounting code and Budget lines used are accurate and in line with budgetary allocation.
∎ Ensure effective and daily updating of transactions records in Excel Book/ SAGA.
∎ Periodic Cash counts as per requirement. Maintain Advance Register and Book, Cash advance is in accordance with cash policy. There should be strict control on advance issued.
∎ Timely perform monthly closure of all cashbooks at Dhaka as per organization’s policy.
∎ File invoices and other documents as per requirement.
∎ Translate accounting documents as needed.
∎ Objective 2: Ensure high quality Bank Payments and management for the Action Against Hunger at Dhaka
∎ Sort and vouch financial documents to ensure they are in accordance with required procedures and guidelines and supporting documents are arithmetically correct and complete (comply to PR, SPO, and other required information).
∎ Calculate applicable VAT/TAX, prepare, challan and Summary of Payment invoices.
∎ Review and ensure accuracy of all bills and Supporting documents before payment. Ensure that all relevant supporting documents have been attached with invoice and comply with Action Against Hunger procedures as well as Government rules and regulations.
∎ Timely preparation of Bank reconciliations of all Books at Dhaka.
∎ Timely perform monthly closure of all Bank Books at Dhaka as per organization’s policy.
∎ Provide opinion if any on day to day control and or corruption.
∎ Ensure no payments are made before starting or after Ending of Contract and or Budget lines.
∎ Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor or delegated authority.
∎ Objective 3 : Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees;
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1 year of proven experience Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role

Salary: Tk. 36574 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 1 (Yearly)
∎ Festival Bonus: 1 month Gross salary every year.
∎ Provident Fund - 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ Performance Bonus - from 30 % to 80% of monthly Gross salary per year vary on performance;
∎ End of Contract Benefits - up to 2 months' Gross salary.
∎ Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per
∎ year).
∎ Leaves:
∎ 18 days of paid annual leaves per year.
∎ 10 days of paid casual leaves per year.
∎ 14 days of paid sick leaves per year.
∎ Training :

∎ Participation to external training costs upon eligibility of the request.
