Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
MBA/PGDM preferred.
3–8 years of FMCG sales experience, including team handling preferably in Foods
Strong understanding of FMCG Foods segment (snacks, bakery, spices, beverages, dairy, etc.).
Good distributor management and trade relations.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to lead field teams and work under pressure.
Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and sales automation apps.
Searching & keep record of alternative team members & distributors for smooth action,
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
Sales target achievement.
Distribution expansion and coverage.
Product freshness and availability.
Outlet visibility and planogram compliance.
Team productivity and distributor performance.
Position Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) for the Foods category is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding distribution, and ensuring strong market execution across assigned territories in Bangladesh. The role involves leading field sales teams, managing distributor operations, and executing trade marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market share.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Achievement
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the Foods category.
Drive primary and secondary sales performance across assigned territories.
Ensure availability of all food products across modern trade, general trade, and wholesale channels.
2. Distribution & Channel Management
Manage and expand the distributor network across urban, semi-urban, and rural areas.
Optimize stock levels, order planning, and product freshness (expiry management).
Ensure efficient delivery and coverage across target markets.
3. Market Execution
Ensure excellent visibility, merchandising, and POS placement in stores.
Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and activities; provide market insights.
Drive category-specific activations (e.g., tasting campaigns, festival promotions).
Increase Market Share by increasing sales each & every territory over competitor.
4. Team Management
Lead and motivate Zone-In-Charge (ZI) and Sales Representative (SR)
Conduct field coaching, route audits, and joint market visits.
Monitor team performance, productivity, and route-wise coverage.
Maintain skill Team & maintain healthy relationship with team for productive result
5. Planning & Reporting
Prepare sales plans, forecasts, beat plans, and coverage plans.
Track key KPIs: sales growth, numeric distribution, weighted distribution, and strike rate.
Maintain MIS reports, daily sales trackers, and dashboard updates.
Take distribution value/product wise sales & make plan for improvement & report.
