Experience:

• Bachelor/Honors

• 4-years Bachelor degree in Agriculture from any Public university.

• At least 2 years

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in agricultural activities.

• Must be proficient in riding a motorcycle and have a valid driving license (learner license holders will not be given priority).

• MS Office applications on the computer.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in microfinance program.

Satkhira Unnayan Sangstha (SUS), a non-governmental voluntary organization (MRA licensee no: 00895-00696-00225) working in Khulna division (Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jessore, Narail, Jhenaidah districts), has been conducting various developmental activities for the development of the poor. The organization will be implemented in Tala Upazila of Satkhira district under the "Agriculture Unit" funded by Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). It will work to increase the income of marginal and small farmers/entrepreneurs in the market, ensure food security and improve family nutrition. Work will be done to increase the scope of enterprises and expand enterprises through skill development in modern production methods of members and strong market connections.

Responsibilities & Context

• Training on safe agriculture production, preparation of training modules, setting up exhibitions of modern farming technologies, preparing various piloting, trials, case studies, research, monitoring, etc., to play an active role in providing necessary information.

• Prepare work plans according to the budget of the PKSF Agriculture Unit and implement the activities of the unit at the field level.

• Must have knowledge about updated agricultural technology and select farmers according to the activities.

• Must work in coordination with the Upazila Agricultural Extension Department.

• Demonstration plots of different seasonal crops should be established and farmers should be trained in modern agricultural technology.

• Formulating business plans for entrepreneurs, developing market systems, developing value-added product production and marketing systems, etc.

• Regular field visits, monitoring important activities to achieve project goals and providing necessary advice

• In addition, being proactive in completing other project-related activities provided by the organization in a timely manner.

• Must have knowledge in preparing monthly activities report, quarterly and yearly report.

• You must have a working mindset in the microfinance program.

Job location: Tala Upazila, Satkhira.

• Monthly salary for 6 months during training 45000-50000 will be paid.
