Job Context:
∎ Ipas Bangladesh is a partner of a Consortium led by Concern Worldwide to implement a large health programme funded by DFID to increase access to quality essential healthcare for the disadvantaged, including people with disabilities, through innovative approaches and covering around 2 million people in urban and rural areas in the underserved, remote coastal areas in the Khulna and Barishal Division of Bangladesh. The programme duration is three and half years from 2019- 2022.
∎ The Capacity Building Advisor will be responsible for providing technical and managerial leadership to the capacity building efforts of EHD project of Ipas Bangladesh. This position will develop, review and provide inputs to SRH and MNCAH training materials as necessary, plan and implement training in collaboration with GOB and local partners, and monitor post-training performances, in consultation with HS. The Advisor will also ensure the quality of all training provided by the clinical trainers throughout the project health facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and oversee design and delivery of all capacity building-related activities, approaches and tools targeted at strengthening the capacity of service providers of the health facilities of the project supported areas;
∎ Plans, organizes and facilitates trainings, orientations, skill updates, meetings and workshops on high-quality SRH, MNCAH, family planning and comprehensive abortion care services
∎ Provide on-site technical assistance (coaching, mentoring and other approaches) to partners in order to assist with strengthening organizational systems, processes and governance;
∎ Provides technical and managerial support to PNGOs for planning and organizing different capacity building initiatives including skill development and skill retention initiatives
∎ Monitors post-training performances and advise capacity building efforts as per requirement.
∎ Prepare reports of meetings, orientation, training events and other program activities to document project progress and also for the donors
∎ Collaborate and maintain liaison with partners, professional societies, academia and stakeholder representatives, technical and program unit staff in Ipas headquarters office and concerned program division of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh
∎ Represent Ipas at local, regional and global professional meetings and conferences
∎ Coordinate with consortium partner as and when necessary
∎ Collaborate with other Ipas units and country programs to achieve overall organizational objectives
∎ Carry out other duties as requested by the supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of experience in sexual reproductive health programs and/or MNCH program preferably in international organizations.
∎ At least 5 years of experience in building the SRH/MNCH capacities of health service providers of government and NGOs.
∎ Experience of conducting training needs assessment, analysis of performance gaps and training session facilitation
∎ Building team dynamics and believes in gender equity
∎ Experience of working in clinical and challenging environment

∎ Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English, verbal as well as written;
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work successfully in a cross-cultural, team-based global environment;
∎ Ability and willingness to travel domestically specially in costal districts and upazillas of Bangladesh (up-to 40%).

Salary:
∎ Ipas Bangladesh will offer an annual salary of BDT 1,500,000 - 1,596,000
