Job Context:
∎ Mukti Cox’s Bazar and UNFPA aim to equip girls aged 10-19 years with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that will empower them to realize their health, wellbeing and dignity, and develop respectful social and family relationships. The Girls Shine programme specifically contributes to the improved prevention of and response to violence against adolescent girls in the camps as well as in immediate host communities. The MHM education empowers them to fully participate in society and live a healthy, self-determined life.
∎ The Adolescent Girls Officer will work in Youth Center (YC) in the camps and host community. She will assist in the provision of age-appropriate group activities, skills building, information sessions and other recreational activities that promote support networks and cohesion with adolescent girls at women and girl safe spaces. She will also engage caregivers in describing the importance of social connectedness for adolescent girls. She will oversee and supervise the implementation of life skill and care giver curriculum. She will provide training to youth mentors on life skill curriculum for the implementation of Girl Shine activities. Through observation and regular evaluations, the officer will oversee and ensure the quality of activities implemented by the mentors and share relevant information to her supervisor. She will assist Project Coordinator for selecting mentors for implementing Girl Shine life skill curriculum, she will be responsible for collecting data and preparing reports and will identify key trends emerging in the field related to adolescent girls and works closely with other team members to address key issues (for example, accessing vulnerable segments of girls, introducing case management, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ She will work with a specific segment of girls for a full cycle of curriculum implementation.
∎ Adhere to and dedicate promote the women-, girl- and survivor-centered support approach, and the GBV guiding principles;
∎ Consult and work with adolescent girls in the Youth Center (YC) to identify their needs, interests and priorities, and what's important to them, and where possible, adapt activities according to these to ensure activities offered are culturally appropriate and meet the needs of adolescent girls;
∎ Provide training to youth mentors on life skill curriculum
∎ Select adolescent girls and care givers to execute girl shine curriculum
∎ Support and supervise youth mentors and other team members to conduct FGDs, sessions, meetings with adolescent girls and care givers.
∎ Assist in the planning and implementation of training activities for adolescent girls participating in YC;
∎ Assist in the planning and implementation of activities aimed at community leaders and parents (or guardians/gatekeepers) of the adolescent girls accessing the YC;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Understanding of emergency response and five years of relevant professional experience, including experience in gender, GBV, Women’s Empowerment or protection programming.
∎ Experience implementing adolescent and youth programming
∎ Strong management experience and ability to work well with a team.
∎ Proven experience in developing and delivering training and of group facilitation.
∎ Demonstrated sensitivity to protection issues, including application of the principle of confidentiality.
∎ Ability to exercise sound judgment.
∎ Extremely strong communication skills, with good understanding of relevant cross-cultural and sensitive issues.
∎ Excellent qualitative and quantitative reporting skills.
∎ Strong problem-solving and innovation to address gaps and challenges.
∎ Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to produce timely and high quality of work.
∎ Demonstrated high level of flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and strong time management skills to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
∎ Strict adherence to humanitarian and Protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including Code of Conduct and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).
∎ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
∎ Fluency in both Bangla and English; Chattogram language is an asset
∎ Job Location: Rohingya Camp; Host Communities- Cox’s Bazar Sadar, Teknaf, Ukhia and Moheskhali.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 - 55370 (Monthly)
∎ As per project provision
