Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters of Commerce (M.Com) in Accounting, Finance.
∎ Note: In case of candidates with more experience; age limit would be relaxed. Women and persons with special needs are equally eligible to apply for the said post.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for monitoring all sort of financial expenditures according to budget of project
∎ Update monthly bank statement, bank reconciliation and prepare report for the management.
∎ Update all financial books and records as per financial procedures following VERC and UNICEF financial compliance.
∎ Prepare consolidated budget and budget variance report in consultation with Project Manager and place to the management.
∎ Monitor of payment vouchers with ensuring deduction of Taxes & VAT;
∎ Ensure maintenance of fixed assets and update fixed asset lists.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and Annual Project Financial Reports.
∎ Keep invoice and all other related documents, so that internal & external Audit could be performed without any objections.
∎ Visit respective project offices for overseeing the bills, documents and booking of expenses in correct & appropriate manner.
∎ Maintaining Books of Accounts.
∎ Making the payments vendors, staffs and other concern on timely manner.
∎ Prepare variance (budget vs actual) statement and share with project team as well as VERC management on regular basis.
∎ Review & checked all kind of project bill, voucher, advance & travel expense.
∎ Provide support for all types of procurement following organizational guideline, GoB rules and Agreement with UNICEF.
∎ Maintain effective communication with all support section of VERC and project office to ensure timely supports for implementing project activities.
∎ Provide support to project team for preparation of fund request and timely submission it to donor.
∎ Prepare vouchers for payment and Entry in Ledger/software
∎ Ensure compliance of financial policies & procedures in all steps.
∎ Ensure all types of administrative support to the project team for smooth implementation of activities.
∎ Assist the Finance Officer to prepare different reports and need based documents as and when needed.
∎ Assist in yearly closing of books of accounts and other financial matters.
∎ Respond to auditors queries
∎ Take necessary measures on financial matter as per audit recommendations.
∎ Committed to protect sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) and to ensure effective action is taken when problems occur.
∎ Commitment to gender equality and the values of the organization
∎ Perform any other assignment given by the project management and the organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ The applicants should have at least 7 year experience in NGO in Education sector.
∎ University Degree in related field or sufficient working experience to substitute
∎ 5-7 years professional experience in Education Program budget management and budget monitoring
∎ Familiarity with UN partnership and fund management systems
∎ Good reporting skill in English and verbal & written communication with the Donors and others agency.
∎ Excellent skills using commonly used software MS Word, MS Excel, Tally software, internet and email communication.
∎ Financial controlling and financial reporting skills
∎ Planning and financial management skills
∎ Field level monitoring skill.
∎ Excellent communications skills.
Salary: Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
