Responsibilities: An Accounts Officer is responsible for overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. They play a crucial role in the financial health of an organization by managing accounting processes, preparing financial statements, and supporting decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, receipts, and invoices.

  • Ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable.

  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.

  • Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring expenditures.

  • Provide variance analysis and suggest corrective measures.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports and liaise with auditors.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.

  • Handle tax filings and other statutory obligations.

  • Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest improvements.

Other Duties:

Handle payroll processing and employee reimbursements.

Address queries from clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
