Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance with financial regulations.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and project stakeholders.

  • Monitor project budgets, grant utilization, and financial performance.

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.

  • Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain accurate financial documentation.

  • Lead office administration, procurement, vendor management, inventory, and facility maintenance.

  • Maintain physical and digital records, contracts, administrative documents, and organizational files.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, HR documentation, leave records, and administrative reporting.

  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, travel, field logistics, and other organizational events.

  • Develop and improve financial and administrative systems to support efficient organizational operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and office administration, preferably within consulting, research, development, or international organizations.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, VAT, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with budgeting, grant management, payroll processing, and audit coordination.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
