• Applicants from other disciplines who possess a strong proven knowledge base and experience in related areas will also be considered.

• Minimum 3-6 years of professional programming experience.

• Essential: Significant, demonstrable experience in the development, maintenance, or enhancement of Financial Accounting and ERP systems/modules.

• Experience in the field of Insurance Systems, Financial Accounting and ERP will be strongly preferred.

• Proven work experience with Oracle APEX, SQL & PL/SQL is mandatory.

• Experience with iReport/Jasper Report, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.

• Strong functional knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as an individual or in a team to manage aggressive timelines.

A reputed fast-growing publicly listed General Insurance Company of the country is seeking an eligible and deserving candidate to join the IT Department at its Head Office as a Programmer, with a specific focus on developing and enhancing the core Accounting Module of our existing IT systems.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be a technical expert responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of our financial and accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Lead development and enhancement of the General Insurance ERP`s Financial Accounting module using Oracle APEX and related technologies.

• Analyze complex financial and accounting business logic to translate requirements into robust technical specifications and efficient application development.

• Design, develop, and maintain database structures, software applications, and reports with a strong emphasis on financial data integrity, security, and compliance.

• Utilize Oracle APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, and Ajax to deliver high-quality, web-based accounting solutions.

• Perform configuration and maintenance of the Oracle Application Server related to the accounting and financial modules.

• Ensure quality coding, optimization, and strong data security practices are applied to all financial applications.

• Develop, enhance, and support software applications across various financial and corporate functions (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Financial Reporting).

• Able to perform full-cycle software development and implementation independently, especially for Oracle Web-Based Accounting Application Development.

• Provide support for the integration of the accounting module with other existing and future IT systems.
