Job Responsibilities:
∎ Accountancy and Bookkeeping
∎ Carry out the requirements of the service specification for the Accountancy and Bookkeeping Services, and other financial services purchased by the school
∎ Provide general and education specific, financial advice to the school ensuring that problems are dealt with at the earliest opportunity and act as direct day to day contact with clients
∎ Provide advice and guidance on financial matters as follows:-
∎ Budget costing
∎ Budgetary control
∎ Year-end budget forecasts
∎ Financial systems and documentation
∎ Contract Standing Orders for The school
∎ Accounting requirements
∎ Implementation of audit reports
∎ VAT regulations
∎ Cash-flow monitoring
∎ Any other financial matters that arise
∎ Provide temporary financial services to the school as required
∎ Other tasks includes:
∎ Cheque & cash receive
∎ Cheque & cash excel entry
∎ Prepare monthly requisition
∎ Cash management.
∎ Salary file preparation
∎ Monthly debit & credit report preparation
∎ Manual cash book entry
∎ Vat, tax file prepare and deposit to bank
Additional Requirements:
∎ Training 2-5 years' experience (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Clear spoken and written English language. (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Strong literacy skills (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Accountant qualification (DESIRABLE)
∎ Able to produce financial statements, watch budgets and control accounts (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Able to work autonomously (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Work in accordance to the task list (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Able to prioritise and multitask (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Good at time management (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Able to communicate (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Strong computing skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheet, Accounting Softwares (ESSENTIAL)
∎ Patient and able to deal with pressure (ESSENTIAL)
∎ School experience (DESIRABLE)
