Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design and develop 3D virtual knitwear prototypes using software such as CLO3D, Browzwear (VStitcher), or Shima Seiki SDS-ONE APEX4.
∎ Create knitting programs for flat-bed and circular knitting machines (e.g., Stoll, Shima Seiki).
∎ Simulate knit structures and textures digitally to assess drape, fit, and aesthetics.
∎ Collaborate with fashion designers, pattern makers, and product developers to translate sketches into virtual garments.
∎ Optimize and test knitting files to ensure compatibility with production machinery.
∎ Provide support in fabric simulation, yarn mapping, and pattern digitization.
∎ Assist in developing sustainable, digital-first sampling workflows.
∎ Stay up to date with the latest trends in knitwear technology, 3D fashion design, and garment visualization tools.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ We are seeking a creative and technically skilled 3D Virtual Designer & Programmer specializing in knitwear to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing digital knitwear prototypes, programming for knitting machines, and creating detailed 3D garment simulations. This role bridges fashion design, textile engineering, and 3D technology to accelerate product development and reduce sampling costs.
