Additional Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:

Films Reimagined is a UK-based wedding photography and cinematography company covering weddings and events primarily across London and the UK.

We are building a dedicated remote post-production team and are looking for an experienced Wedding Post-Production Creative Lead to take ownership of the creative quality and continuous development of our photo and video output.

This is not primarily a video editing or photo editing position. Your main responsibility will be to review the work produced by our editors, identify areas for improvement, provide clear and structured creative feedback, and help continuously raise our post-production standards.

The Role

We are looking for someone with a strong creative eye and a genuine understanding of wedding photography and cinematography.

You should be able to watch a completed wedding film and identify issues that others may overlook — from an individual unstable shot or inconsistent colour balance to larger problems with pacing, music selection, storytelling or overall engagement.

Similarly, you should be able to review a wedding photo gallery and recognise inconsistencies in colour, skin tones, exposure, cropping, image selection and overall visual quality.

The objective is not simply to find mistakes. We want someone who can help our editors improve project after project.

You will act as the creative quality layer between the editing team and the Director, allowing the Director to provide overall creative direction while you manage the detailed review, feedback and development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review completed and in-progress wedding films before final delivery.

  • Review edited wedding photo galleries for quality and consistency.

  • Identify technical and creative issues including colour balance, exposure, skin tones, stabilisation, framing and distracting elements.

  • Assess video pacing, shot selection, transitions, slow motion, music selection and overall storytelling.

  • Identify sections that feel repetitive, confusing, unnecessarily long or disengaging.

  • Recommend practical improvements such as reframing, alternative shot selection, restructuring sequences, changing music or adjusting pacing.

  • Provide editors with clear, structured and actionable feedback, rather than simply identifying that something does not look right.

  • Conduct regular review and development meetings with photo and video editors.

  • Track recurring issues and ensure previous feedback is being applied to future projects.

  • Help establish consistent Films Reimagined editing and quality standards.

  • Research current wedding photography and cinematography trends, particularly within the UK wedding market.

  • Study the work of leading wedding photographers, filmmakers and studios to identify emerging creative styles and techniques.

  • Recommend new editing approaches, storytelling techniques and creative ideas that could improve our work.

  • Support the development of internal creative guidelines, references and quality-control processes.

  • Escalate important creative decisions to the Director where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates with professional experience in wedding photography, wedding cinematography or wedding post-production.

You do not necessarily need to currently work as a Creative Lead. An experienced wedding video editor, photographer, filmmaker or post-production professional with excellent creative judgement and the ability to develop other editors may be suitable for the position.

You should have:

  • Strong understanding of wedding filmmaking and visual storytelling.

  • Strong creative judgement and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Good understanding of colour, exposure and natural-looking skin tones.

  • Ability to recognise subtle stabilisation, framing and composition issues.

  • Strong understanding of music, pacing and emotional storytelling.

  • Understanding of professional wedding photography standards.

  • Ability to explain why something should be changed and how it could be improved.

  • Experience reviewing or providing feedback on creative work.

  • Ability to research creative trends and translate them into practical recommendations.

  • Strong communication and team-development skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Good written and spoken English.

Experience with DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Lightroom would be highly beneficial.

The Person We’re Looking For

We are not looking for someone who simply follows an editing checklist.

We want someone who can look at a technically correct wedding film and still recognise:

“This isn’t engaging enough. Why?”

You should naturally notice the small details — an inconsistent shot, unnatural skin tone, distracting background, unnecessary slow motion or poorly matched music — while also being able to step back and assess the complete story and emotional impact of the film.

Most importantly, you should enjoy helping other creative professionals improve.

Our goal is for our editing team to become stronger with every project they complete.

Working Arrangement

The position be full time or part-time, working remotely from home.

The role will involve regular online meetings with the editing team and occasional meetings with the UK Director.
