Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad (NSS) is a nongovernment organization working in the coastal belt of Bangladesh since 2000 with greater passion and enthusiasm for ensuring rights and sustainable development of the community living in the area of Bangladesh. Currently NSS invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates in the position of WASH Facilitator for World Vision Bangladesh supported programme that is being implemented at Amtali Upazila of Barguna District in Barishal division. The duration of the assignment is 1st November 2021 to 30th October 2022.
∎ Job Location: Amtali Upazila, District-Barguna.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ WASH Facilitator (HNW) will facilitate and implement intervention of WASH Business Plan Program.
∎ WASH Facilitator will be assisting to from and capacitate different committee like UNDC/VDC, WASH/Waste Management Committee, Water Point Management Committee and community throughout the implementation of all sorts of interventions on WASH Business Plan Program for the targeted HHs as it required.
∎ Regular household visit with check list.
∎ Conduct awareness session with caregivers/VDC/CF/School students/adolescent/other stakeholders at community level.
∎ He/she will facilitate, monitor and supervise Health/WASH/Waste Management Committee work in the targeted community with giving appropriate feedback for improvement.
∎ He/she will collect & compile WASH/Waste Management Committee & accomplishment report and submit to immediate supervisor timely.
∎ WASH Facilitator will assist to prepare HH profile in collaboration with his supervisor and to enter document the change happened in HH status in monthly / quarterly / half yearly and annual basis.
∎ He/she will prepare plan and accomplishment report and submit to his/ her supervisor.
∎ He/she is responsible to monitor the programs regularly using prescribed formats.
∎ Maintain a good working relationship with LGI, Govt., Non-Govt. and external stakeholders.
∎ Carryout NSS and WV Vision, Mission and Core Values in the communities.
∎ Assist other project intervention when and where needed
∎ Visit Community Clinic, Family Welfare Center and other primary health care centers, Schools or service delivery points with check list
∎ WASH Facilitator will take necessary measure (e.g. mask use, hand sanitizer, gloves etc.) during field visit
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Minimum 5 years working experience in WASH and MHM related project;
∎ Excellent Training skill with proven writing and oral communication skills in English and Bengali;
∎ Experience in liaison and networking with regional level GoB and NGOs;
∎ Excellent knowledge about Union Parishad Act, Union Parishad Operation Manual and WASH related policies and circulars;
∎ Experience in working with WASH related project will be preferred.
∎ IT Skill: Good IT skills especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point;
Salary:
∎ TK. 30,000 (with other benefit as per budgetary provision);
