• Previous experience (2–3 years) in a hospital ward master position is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of hospital operations and patient care support functions.

• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

• Supervise and coordinate ward boy, cleaners, PCAs and support personnel.

• Ensure patient beds are maintained, cleaned, and equipped properly.

• Oversee the availability of essential supplies like linen, toiletries, oxygen cylinders, and other consumables.

• Maintain proper records for linen distribution, medical waste disposal, and ward equipment usage.

• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and biomedical departments for timely repairs or services.

• Assist with patient shifting and discharge processes under the guidance of nursing staff.

• Ensure visitor and patient rules are followed in the ward (e.g., visiting hours, cleanliness).

• Support nurses and doctors in maintaining a safe, respectful, and calm ward environment.

• Report any incidents, unusual activities, or complaints to the appropriate authority.

• Maintain inventory and ensure minimum wastage or misuse of hospital property.
