Educational Requirements:
∎ As per the Private University Act 2010, Ph.D. degree from any reputed University or having 1st Class or equivalent degree in Honours and Masters from any recognized University with 10 (ten) years teaching experience with 20 (twenty) years research or administration works in a reputed University.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 20 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Vice Chancellor is a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the University and performed the following responsibilities according to the Private University Act 2010:
∎ The Vice Chancellor will exercise his leadership over academic and administrative functions of the University in terms of teaching and research.
∎ Vice Chancellor execute the Vision and Mission of the University;
∎ He will be accountable to the Board of Trustees of the University for his works;
∎ As Chairman of the Syndicate, Academic Council, Teachers and Employees Appointment Committee, Academic Curriculum Committee and Member of the Board of Trustees (Ex-Officio), he is liable to implement the decisions of the above mentioned meetings and report to the Board of Trustees step by step;
∎ He should have sound knowledge about the Private University Act 2010, Institutional
∎ Service Rules, Statute of the University and other rules and regulations which is required to run a University;
∎ He should be knowledge regarding the Act and rules and regulations regarding the
∎ different works of the Registrar Joint Stock Companies (RJSC) Bangladesh.
∎ Vice Chancellor should possess excellent leadership skills, strong interpersonal relationalship capability;
∎ He has experience of designing academic and administrative strategies and operational planning and having an active portfolio of professional affiliation will be treated as additional qualification;
∎ Exercise leadership in key areas of academics and administration assigned by the
∎ University Syndicate as well as the Board of Trustees of the University;
∎ Represent the university well in various settings and public speaking engagements.
∎ Played role as key stakeholders with the UGC, Ministry of Education, donors, and guardians, to reach desired the mission of the university.
∎ Vice Chancellor should be to create an enabling environment on campus in which all bodies, including student unions, are functional and cultural activities and critical thinking can flourish. He should be articulated to exchange of ideas between teachers and students beyond the classroom.
