Educational Requirements:
∎ An Advance University Degree preferably MSS/Development studies and English.
Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non-government organization working in coastal area of Bangladesh since 2000 with a view to ensure quality education, humanitarian response and rights of poor, adolescent and excluded people. The organization is implementing "EMPOWER"project funded by Educo Bangladesh at 20 high schools and community level of 6 unions of Amtali Upazila and Amtali Pourashava under Barguna district.The project duration is January 2023 to December 2025. In this current project NSS is seeking aTechnical Officer to implement the project activities and provide technical support to the community. The UF is responsible for ensuring monthly plan wise project activities including close coordination with PC and NSS Management.
∎ Job Location:Amtali Upazila of Barguna District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Produce regular work plan and activity reports (monthly).
∎ Implement field activities as per project guideline.
∎ Assist to maintain liaison with the political leaders, government officials, NGO personnel, community people,schools, women groups and other civil society forum.
∎ Provide Assist to plan & design of advocacy activities and develop implementation strategies.
∎ Represent NSS at field level.
∎ Work with different committees formed by NSS when assigned.
∎ Provide assistance to the program coordinator for effective coordination and proper implementation of the projects.
∎ Conduct trainings, orientations, meetings and discussions.
∎ Prepare Training Module, schedule and conduct training as per plan and budget.
∎ Maintain communication and liaison with concerned representatives and other duty bearers and different stakeholders.
∎ Ensuring training on leadership and capacity building for different groups.
∎ Document the project activities, case studies, meeting minutes, agenda and other project-related information.
∎ Maintain communication and liaison with different sectors.
∎ Working knowledge on program development and design, and community led and co-management approach.
∎ Strong facilitation, interpersonal and presentation skills and able to develop project-based learning, publication materials etc.
∎ Work as a team member of the coordination of organization and facilitate team work. All other duties assigned by the PC and Executive Director.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age upto 45 years
∎ Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant program management in development sector.
∎ The person experienced in child protection, community empowerment quality education, adolescent rights will get preference.
∎ Ability to work independently,functioning effectively in a collaborative team environment.
∎ Ability challenge mitigating skills.
∎ Strong program monitoring and Supervision skills
∎ Should have strong partner management skills.
∎ Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks without losing sight.
∎ Excellent command on English and Bangla in verbal and written communication.
∎ High level proficiency on Computer usage on e.g MS office package, especially power point and other graphical software with internet communication.
∎ Excellent communication and networking skill with wide range of stakeholders as govt. NGOs, civil society and local elite and influential people.
∎ Good understanding and analytical ability on current political situation.
∎ Ability to Extensive field visit will be essential criteria.
∎ Skilled in motor cycle driving with valid driving license
∎ S/he has to sign Gender Policy, Child Protection Policy, Safeguarding policy and Anti-Corruption Declaration.
∎ Female candidate will be given special priority.
Salary:
∎ 20,000 BDT with other benefits as project budget.
