Job Context:
Responsible for leading community-based nutrition activities in Improving Maternal and Child Nutrition (IMCN) programme including screening and referral of wasting cases, follow-up home visits, coordination and liaison at field level, supportive supervision and reporting. This position will also support in Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP), IYCF and SBC Related activities at field level.

Supervise to: Assistant Nutrition Supervisor (ANS)
Job Location: At anywhere in Teknaf, Ukhia and Kutubdia Upazila.
Duration: Till 31st March-2026 with a high possibility of extension.
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:
Support the nutrition programs in Host Community in all planning, implementation, monitoring, accountability and quality assurance to attain the expected successful outcomes.
Support to develop capacity building plans according to results of capacity assessment and execute suitable capacity building strategies to Assistant Nutrition Supervisors/Community Nutrition Volunteers through support to organize formal training, supportive supervision and on the job training.
Supportive supervision to the frontline staff to ensure the community level Sensitization & Mobilization activities (Male Forum, Mother to Mother Support Group , Community Clinic Management group meeting, UP meeting, UHC Meeting etc.)
Ensure technical support to all field level activities according to guidelines / Protocols for smooth & effective program operations.
Ensure security protocols for teams both when in office and field areas.
Take initiative to solve any conflict relating to program activities or staff according to organizational procedure.
Identify field level training needs and support program coordinator to arrange capacity building events based on the gaps.
Ensure Upazila, union and field level coordination with MoHFW staffs / Secondary Education and other relevant stakeholders.
Development of network with other actors in the area as well as community leaders/representatives.
Provide technical support to maintain program databases and create reports and other documents for Upazila level ensuring daily update of everyday activity to online platform
Ensure gender, protection and humanitarian principal is carrying throughout the implementation period in line with project activities.
Conduct regular facility visit (50% of monthly working days) and outreach visit (30% of monthly working days).
Capacity building
Provide on the job training to the supervisees to ensure protocol and guidelines.
Facilitate formal training for volunteers / / field staff if needed.
Assess technical capacity of the field level staff and plan to improve capacity.

Reporting
Report Collection from Assistant Nutrition Supervisor/ Community Nutrition Volunteer and bottle neck analysis for finding out the improvement area to take action.
Monthly Program Report Compilation and submission to line Manager.
Strengthen nutrition information system through data documentation, monitoring coverage & quality of report with nutrition data elements.
Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports of the nutrition programs and provide support in mitigating the gaps and quality improvement.
Prepare Upazila level meeting / events / situation report and shared timely to Line Manager.
Other Responsibilities

Collaborate within team, Coordination and External Representation
Act as a focal point for community leaders and members. Collect feedback and complaints and report back following CFRM guideline
Attend UHC/UNO and other field level meetings as requested by the line managers
Liaise with other partners providing nutrition and health activities in the catchment area for good coordination of outreach activities
Refer to the Deputy Programme Manager before making any verbal or written commitment
Enable a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, and conduct regular meetings with program staffs to discuss and document lessons learned
Ensure organizational policies and donor compliances are in place
Orient team members on the Complaint Feedback Mechanism (CFM) and functional CFM at field level following SoP
Be aware of, understand and comply with all of SHED's policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management, PSEA etc.
Besides, Deputize Upazila Nutrition Coordinator. Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager(s).
