∎ Reaching Impact, Saturation, and Epidemic Control (RISE) project, Jhpiego has been working at the country level with the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) in collaboration with USAID; the US Embassy in Bangladesh; the Bangladesh Society of Anesthesiologists (BSA); the Bangladesh Society of Critical Care Medicine; and other global stakeholders to provide technical assistance to respond to identify the need of MOHFW at public health facility level for supporting the utilization of US Government donated mechanical ventilators in Bangladesh as well as provision of critical care of COVID-19 patients.
∎ RISE is providing support for capacity building of health care providers of forty- five health facilities at the country level to improve the knowledge and skills on emergency and critical care management for ensuring improve services at intensive care unit and high dependency unit.
∎ NUMBER OF POSITION: 01 (one); this position is for short-term (3 months) but there is a possibility of further extension.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist Project Manager to prepare a monthly action plan for program implementation at district level health facilities.
∎ Establish and maintain coordination and liaison with local level government health facilities for organizing capacity building interventions on critical care and intensive care management
∎ Provide support for getting government approvals and other documents for organizing project activities
∎ Organize training venue and ensure other administrative support for conducting capacity development interventions
∎ Facilitate the process of conduction capacity development event online and offline and provide support to the trainer and other resources as per need
∎ Provide support for job aids, guideline, logistic collection, management and distribution at the health facility level
∎ Provide support to facilitate supportive supervision, monitoring and mentoring by project staff
∎ Participate in different coordination meetings organized at District level health facilities where relevant.
∎ Prepare event report timely, completely, and accurately and support for capturing, documenting the learning.
∎ On request perform any other additional duties assigned by the supervisor(s) in order to allow the organization to function optimally.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 4-5 years' experience on which at least 2-3 years' in health-related projects
∎ Adequate knowledge of Bangladesh healthcare system
∎ Ability to interact skillfully and diplomatically with local level government and other stakeholders
∎ Adequate analytical and problem-solving skills; and innovative ways of managing things
∎ Prior experience in organizing training, workshop, orientation on health-related issues
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills;
∎ Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks
∎ Proficiency in MS Office
∎ Willingness to travel frequently by using public transport
∎ Willing to take on extra responsibilities in order to achieve the goals/objectives of RISE project
