Job Context:
∎ The Training Consultant will be based in Dhaka for the duration of the programme, with at least 50% in-country travel.
∎ This is currently envisaged to be a short-term consultancy position for maximum 65 days till 31 January 2020 from the date of singing the contract.
∎ The expected start date is 15 September 2019.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support trainings and workshops organized under Results Area 2 (Accountability and responsiveness of government officials raised through enhanced capacity building and engagement with CSOs) and ensure its efficient and effective implementation;
∎ Provide all required support and advise where needed to organize regional and national level forums under Results Areas 1, 2 and 3 that relate civil service training institutes;
∎ Provide necessary professional support for organization or workshops under Inclusive Governance and Social Accountability forums;
∎ Support the activities of P4D senior staff and international consultants working on development of public leadership training programme;
∎ Work closely with P4D international consultants to conduct needs assessment and skill building activities of civil service training institutes and their faculty members;
∎ Support P4D's Communication team to prepare proper coverage of P4D work with training institutes, including workshops, sensitisation activities, trainings and study visits and highlight the result;
∎ In close collaboration with Government Engagement and Sustainability Lead maintain regular contact with government institutions, ministries and departments, particularly the Cabinet Division to report on the project activities with support from the Research, Evaluation and Learning (REL) team;
∎ Prepare and maintain proper documentation and reporting of all RA 2 activities including trainings, workshops and sensitisation activities;
∎ Provide any other support and advise seems necessary during the contract period.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven track record of design and implementation of trainings and large-scale workshops.
∎ Previous experience working with Government training institutes.
∎ Working experience at field level Administration as a government official is preferred.
∎ A network of high level, professional contacts in the BCS.
∎ Fluent in written and spoken both in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent coordination/collaboration skills with government agencies, and INGOs.
∎ Strong understanding of the national and regional level socio-political dynamics.
∎ Willing to travel and work in a challenging environment.
∎ Knowledge of computer applications.
∎ Must have excellent analytical and report writing skills.
∎ Results-oriented.
∎ Experience of collaborative team working
Salary:
∎ The consultant shall be paid at a daily rate commensurate with experience and salary history.
