Job Context:
∎ Based at Teknaf Project Office, Cox`s Bazar
∎ Technical Coordinator will be responsible for the management & implementation of education in emergencies interventions and budget. S/he will provide required supports to the technical officers of partner organization to ensure that the Rohingya children graduate successfully achieving required learning competency. The role involves providing educational opportunities and support to children and families to support them to achieve their education goals, as well as supervision of the education programs and services, including relevant documents & data management. The Technical Coordinator will manage relationships with partner`s project team and other volunteers at Rohingya camps and host community as well.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assessment:
∎ Support to the process for need assessment as needed in intervention target areas for program designing;
∎ Review, assess and update the education situation in areas affected by emergency (camps sites and host communities) including girls and children with disabilities, barriers for teachers, safe learning environment for children and teachers, quality of learning and teaching, conflict sensitivity, community participation)
∎ Highlight education related issues requiring an immediate or medium-term response and inform the line Manager accordingly.
∎ Provide necessary support to conduct baseline & end line survey and conduct IDELA assessment and other assessment;
∎ Coordination and lead education interventions:
∎ Oversee development and implementation of a comprehensive EiE interventions in camps & host community that provides enrichment and day to day operational supports;
∎ Establish and maintain liaison/coordination with local administration at the district, Upazila and Union level;
∎ Collaborate with different stakeholders , site management and govt. officials in the respective camps;
∎ Supervise the development of workshops, events and training that will support, inspire, and provide necessary inputs to ensure quality of education among the Rohingya children;
∎ Display and maintain a high level of enthusiasm, energy and commitment;
∎ Establish and maintain contact with external community organizations, individuals and parents. Schedule bi-weekly, monthly events and ensure relevant logistics accordingly;
∎ Assist Senior Project Manager to prepare provide information and data for grant proposal by providing required information
∎ Response management and implementation:
∎ Organize different project events such as training, meeting and workshop as per project activity plan and need.
∎ Provide guidance to the partners Technical Officers for giving support to the school / madrasa teachers and gender promoters for taking sessions and maintaining documents.
∎ Organize monthly staff meeting with all staff and review program progress;
∎ Visit programme/project sites to supervise and monitor learning related activities in the affected communities;
∎ Review programme documents and progress reports to ensure timely implementation of project activities;
∎ Monitor budget spending & maintain track accordingly;
∎ Facilitate in identifying children out of school with plan to return to schools or the non-formal education system;
∎ Plan for distribution of learning materials from warehouse to learning centres and distribute timely;
∎ Support the monitoring and reporting of major concerns on education and as well as child protection concerns inside and around the learning centres/spaces;
∎ Ensure rigorous implementation of quality and accountability mechanisms;
∎ Human resources and administration:
∎ Contribute to and support training and briefing of partners Technical Officers and other key stakeholders on education and/or related issues in coordination with the Senior Project Manager;
∎ Ensure Individual Accountability Plan, Performance Appraisal and leave records properly;
∎ Child protection, gender equality and inclusion:
∎ Ensures that Plan International's global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan

Additional Requirements:
∎ 2 years of experience in education sector. Experience in humanitarian settings is an asset INGO work experience is preferred. Comprehensive understanding of the Humanitarian architecture of the Rohingya Response its operating and regulatory environment. Understanding general finance, administration and information management Knowledge and understanding of Plan's vision, mission values. In-depth understanding of Child Protection. Ability to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities (internal/external). Communicating, one to one & in groups, written & verbal, presentations and reports in English; knowledge of Bangla would be necessary. Budget management and assessment of financial operations in humanitarian situations. Facilitation, negotiation and networking. Persuasion and ability to influence. Must be computer proficient (MS Office and outlook). Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. Have experience and the ability to live and work in diverse cultural contexts in a culturally appropriate manner. Has a capacity to make accurate self-assessment particularly in high stress and high security contexts

Salary:
∎ Salary Package for this role is BDT. 68,640 fixed monthly Cost to the company. Along with other benefits i.e., hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, Festival Bonus, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee.
