Experience: Minimum 5 years of total experience, including 3 years at the Managerial/Leadership level in nutrition, health, or food security programs.

Age: Maximum 40 years (Flexible for highly experienced candidates).

Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and digital reporting skills.

Language: Strong writing and speaking skills in English.

Organizational Policies & Safeguarding:

Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED) is a national non-governmental organization that has been working in Bangladesh since 1989. SHED is currently implementing various projects in Health, Nutrition, WASH, Food Security, Protection, and DRR with support from UN agencies and international partners.

In partnership with Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation, SHED is seeking a qualified and dynamic professional for its project: "Inclusive Cities for Nutrition (IC4N) – 18-Month Cost Extension."

Location: Cox’s Bazar Pourashava (Municipality)

Contract Duration: 18 Months (Initial contract for 1 year, extendable)

Job Purpose: To provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the IC4N project, ensuring all nutrition interventions align with organizational targets. The role focuses on institutionalizing a nutrition-sensitive food system within the Cox’s Bazar Municipality (CBM) through governance, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Major/Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end implementation cycle of the IC4N project.

• Ensure all activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with SHED and Helvetas standards.

• Serve as the Primary Focal Point between SHED, Helvetas, and Cox’s Bazar Municipality (CBM).

• Foster strong working relationships with relevant government line departments and the CBM Nutrition Officer to achieve project goals.

• Lead the development and institutionalization of nutrition-sensitive food system governance within the municipality.

• Oversee the design and operationalization of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the "Digital Dashboard" for real-time progress reporting.

• Provide direct supervision and mentorship to the project team, including the MEAL Officer, Technical Officers, and Community Mobilizers.

• Identify capacity gaps and facilitate technical training to ensure high-quality program delivery.

• Spend at least 50% of working hours at the CBM office to provide hands-on technical support.

• Lead the establishment and operationalization of a dedicated "Nutrition Corner" within the CBM premises.

• Represent the project at SHED Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings.

• Consolidate and share high-quality progress reports, best practices, and lessons learned with Helvetas and the Municipality.
