Job Context:
∎ Established in 1987, Oxford International School (OIS) is a distinguished English Medium School registered with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), UK. Operating multiple campuses across the city, we are currently seeking highly knowledgeable and experienced Computer Science Teachers for our Dhanmondi Campus.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To teach Computer Science at the Middle School level
∎ Conduct classes, prepare syllabus, session plans, scheme of work, and lesson plans for Computer Studies following OIS standards.
∎ Develop and evaluate question papers and mark schemes for the assigned subjects.
∎ Create lecture materials and PowerPoint presentations for effective classroom delivery.
∎ Assess students' assignments and written work.
∎ Implement robust classroom management practices.
∎ Design strategies for developing self-responsible and independent learners.
∎ Engage students in active, hands-on, creative problem-based learning, and promote research activities.
∎ Manage all academic responsibilities related to student exams and parent interactions.
∎ Support the development of student portfolios in line with agreed school practices.
∎ Actively participate in ECA clubs and school events.
∎ Engage in professional development through training and presentations.
∎ Take initiatives and perform other assigned administrative duties within the scope of knowledge and skills required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Professional experience in teaching and training Computer Studies
∎ Teaching experience in an English Medium School is highly preferred
∎ Demonstrates professional and ethical standards in dealings with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
∎ Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
∎ Proficient in 21st-century skills
∎ Familiarity with the CAIE curriculum/syllabus on the subject
∎ Completion of Cambridge Stage 1 & 2 trainings is preferable.
∎ Ability to meet professional obligations through efficient work habits and maintaining good working relationships.
