Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's in Accounting/ Finance with minimum CA Certificate Level complete or any other accounting/ finance professional degree.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Calculate monthly and yearly expatriate income tax and obtain necessary approval to account for the same;
∎ Make necessary monthly and yearly accounting entry of expatriate income tax in JDE financials;
∎ Review and reconcile national employee income tax statement (current vs last month) and process tax payment;
∎ Provide tax and VAT opinion to Accounts Payable and other related team;
∎ Work with Human Resource and external tax attorney to obtain e-TIN of the new expatriate employee;
∎ Responsible for accruals of expatriate income tax at the tax year end;
∎ Obtain Power of Attorney (PoA) for tax return preparation on behalf of expatriate employee;
∎ Work with external tax attorney to prepare the expatriate employees income tax return and submission on time;
∎ Work to provide Tax and VAT opinion to accounts payable team as per their time to time requirements;
∎ Prepare withholding tax return as per prescribed format of the income tax law and deposit the same to the tax authority on timely manner;
∎ Prepare withholding tax and VAT statement and deposit to government exchequer
∎ Assist to prepare income tax returns of national and expatriate employee u/s 108 and 108A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 and submit to the tax authority;
∎ Provide expatriate employees income tax payment information and corresponding tax clearance certificate to corporate tax team;
∎ Prepare monthly TIPS Reporting and address necessary queries of the corporate team;
∎ Collection of quarterly corporate advance tax payment instrument and deposit the same to the respective tax circle;
∎ Provide support to Petrobangla auditors in tax matters;
∎ Prepare tax withholding certificate for all vendors;
∎ Provide necessary support to Internal and external auditors;
∎ Prepare and issue VAT Form-12Kha to the appropriate vendors;
∎ Reconcile monthly GL accounts as assigned;
∎ Collection of monthly withholding Tax and VAT Challan from tax attorney and filling them in achieve;
∎ Provide explanation to vendors for Tax and VAT withholding;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Applicant should have minimum 3-year(s) working experience in Tax (VAT/ Customs Duty/ Income Tax) area of multinational Companies.
∎ In depth knowledge on fiscal laws particularly Tax and new VAT law
∎ Knowledge of accounting principles and standards, striving to understand business process risk and controls
∎ Liaison with Tax authority and others related wing
∎ Proficient in MS office and ERP based systems (Preferably JD Edwards)
∎ Strong analytical and communication ability
∎ High level professional integrity
∎ The successful candidate (Staff Contractor) shall be deployed in Multinational Company, our client engaged in Oil & Gas sector in Bangladesh.
Salary: Negotiable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Cell Phone Allowance BDT 1,500/- per month.
∎ Yearly two annual allowance/bonus
∎ Weekly 05 days on 02 days off basis
∎ Daily rate applicable (Monthly salary to convert to day rate)
∎ Group life Insurance coverage.
∎ Hospitalization Insurance coverage.
