Job Context: Noorjahan Hospital Ltd. is a 150-bed tertiary care hospital and the first private hospital in Sylhet. We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and leadership-driven Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing management, maintain high clinical care standards, and lead our nursing staff across inpatient units, ICU, OT, and emergency departments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise daily nursing operations, clinical workflows, and patient care management across designated hospital units.

• Prepare nursing duty rosters, schedule shift assignments, and manage staff allocation to ensure adequate floor coverage and smooth shift handovers.

• Monitor staff nurses to ensure strict adherence to clinical nursing protocols, hospital procedures, and safety guidelines.

• Supervise the safe, accurate administration of medications, fluids, and clinical treatments by the nursing team.

• Inspect unit inventory, emergency crash carts, medical equipment (e.g., suction machines, monitors, ventilators), and essential drug supplies to maintain 100% operational readiness.

• Conduct regular ward rounds, review patient charts, and evaluate clinical documentation, ensuring nursing notes are clear, accurate, and up-to-date.

• Liaise with duty doctors, consultants, and administrative officers to resolve patient care issues, inter-departmental conflicts, and family grievances promptly.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate junior nurses and support staff, identifying training needs to improve clinical competence and service quality.

• Ensure strict implementation of infection prevention and control (IPC) procedures, hygiene standards, and waste management policies.

• Lead emergency responses on the floor during critical patient events, resuscitation, or sudden clinical escalations.

• Leadership & Operational Management: Staff Rostering, Nursing Unit Management, Bed Allocation, Shift Handover Supervision, Conflict Resolution.

• Clinical Supervision: Advanced Patient Assessment, Medication Audit, Infection Control Protocols, Quality Assurance, Emergency Triage Supervision.

• Technical Skills: ICU/CCU & OT Nursing Care Supervision, Patient Monitoring Systems, Crash Cart Management, CPR/BLS Supervision.

• Administrative & Soft Skills: Medical Records Audit, Inter-departmental Coordination, Staff Mentoring & Training, Patient Communication under Pressure.
