Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ Master's degree in Journalism/ Media Studies/ Mass Communication/ English/ International Relations from a recognized university will get preference.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Writing, rewriting, editing and proof-reading text.
∎ Making sure that house style is adhered to (house style means the particular style conventions of a given publication, e.g., the publication’s tone and punctuation/grammar conventions)
∎ Writing headlines, picture captions and story summaries
∎ Good capability of translating international stories
∎ Verifying information and story details
∎ Designing page layouts
∎ Ensuring that stories are the right length and correctly placed on pages.
∎ Cropping photos and deciding where to use them for best effect and writing picture captions.
∎ Making sure that stories are accurate and do not compromise legality.
∎ Generating ideas for stories, or taking a brief from a news editor/producer
∎ Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by TBN24 authorities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Excellent writings & translation skills.
∎ Presentation skill and clear pronunciation.
∎ Passion for Journalism.
∎ Excellent news-gathering and reporting skills
∎ Ability to think creatively and see all potential angles of story.
∎ Should have excellent listening and speaking skill in Bangla and English
∎ Awareness of Media Law
∎ Ability to take initiatives and work under pressure.
∎ Non-smoker.
∎ Willing to work at night shifts.
Salary: Negotiable
