Job Purpose:
To support the organization in achieving its objectives by conducting effective internal audits, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identifying operational and financial risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations, and providing practical recommendations for improving business processes, risk management, and governance.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute annual and periodic internal audit plans based on organizational risks and priorities.
Conduct risk-based internal audits of financial, operational, commercial, and administrative activities.
Review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, procedures, and processes.
Identify control weaknesses, operational risks, financial irregularities, and potential fraud risks.
Perform audit procedures to verify the accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of financial and operational records.
Review compliance with company policies, SOPs, applicable laws, regulations, and management directives.
Conduct audits of procurement, inventory, sales, finance, HR, payroll, production, and other business functions as assigned.
Examine vouchers, invoices, bills, supporting documents, contracts, and other relevant records.
Verify physical assets, inventory, cash, and other resources through physical inspection and reconciliation.
Analyze financial and operational data to identify unusual transactions, variances, trends, and exceptions.
Prepare clear and comprehensive internal audit reports highlighting findings, risks, root causes, and recommendations.
Discuss audit findings with concerned departments and obtain management responses and action plans.
Follow up on previous audit observations to ensure timely implementation of agreed corrective actions.
Assist in investigating suspected fraud, financial misconduct, policy violations, and other irregularities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management and corporate governance practices.
Maintain proper audit working papers, evidence, documentation, and audit trails in accordance with professional standards.
Supervise and review the work of audit officers/executives and junior audit team members.
Coordinate with Finance, Accounts, Operations, HR, Procurement, and other departments during audit assignments.
Provide practical recommendations to management for improving internal controls, reducing costs, minimizing risks, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Perform any other audit, compliance, risk assessment, investigation, or special assignments entrusted by the Head of Internal Audit/Management.
