∎ Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment
∎ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
∎ Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems
∎ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
∎ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting
∎ Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting
∎ Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at various levels of the organization
∎ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
∎ High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality
∎ Knowledge of tax regulations and familiarity with tax filings is an advantage
∎ Proficient in English and Bengali
∎ Minimum 3+ years in the relevant area
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts receivable/payable, expense reports, and bank reconciliations
∎ Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and transactions
∎ Monitor and review financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies or errors
∎ Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
∎ Prepare regular financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis
∎ Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders on financial analysis
∎ Assist in preparing annual budgets, working closely with relevant departments to gather information and ensure accuracy
∎ Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances
∎ Collaborate with stakeholders to develop financial forecasts and projections
∎ Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations
∎ Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information
∎ Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and financial processes
∎ Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims
∎ Coordinate with internal teams to resolve financial queries or issues
∎ Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for statutory purposes
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations
∎ Provide guidance and support to junior team members, if applicable
∎ As a Sr. Executive in the Accounts Department, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. You will play a vital role in maintaining the organization's financial soundness by adhering to accounting principles, standards, and procedures. The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial operations.
