Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Social Science, Disaster Management or any relevant subject from any recognised university/ institutions with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division/ class or equivalent CGPA is acceptable

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct relevant risk assessment (vulnerability mapping) with appropriate tools, identify gaps & challenges and take necessary step for improvements
∎ Contribute in awareness building of the staffs on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Resilience.
∎ Accountability on M&E and Global Indicators, and engagement including appropriate DRR indicators in programme design
∎ Develop proposal, concept note on DRR in coordination with relevant team
∎ Assist Programme Coordinator, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), annual planning and strategic development processes to ensure the integration of results to build a quality driven focus on DRR & Resilience including the development of quality outputs, measures of success and quality indicators
∎ Support field operation team in implementing DRR activities in action at the field
∎ Support the Public Policy & Advocacy Team on issues related to DRR & resilience and produce papers relating to relevant issues as requested
∎ Liaise closely with BRAC members where there is a geographical or sectorial interest

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 years of relevant working experience is required. Candidates having experience Emergency Response, DRR will get preference
∎ Strong belief in human rights including gender equality and child rights
∎ Sound Knowledge on Disaster Management, Environmental Hazards, Humanitarian Aids and Core Humanitarian Standards
∎ Have Knowledge on sendai framework, SAARC framework on DRR and other Resilience interventions
∎ Flexible attitude, with the ability to manage a range of tasks at the same time
∎ Logical approach and the ability to be creative in a high-pressure situation
∎ Excellent communication, coordination and networking skill
∎ Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
