You will be the QA engineer in the client’s product team, working hybrid from Bangladesh. You will test web applications and their APIs, find defects before users do, and confirm that each release is ready to ship. The work is hands-on and split between manual and automated testing.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements and user stories, and raise gaps or unclear acceptance criteria before development starts.

• Write and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.

• Carry out functional, exploratory, cross-browser, and responsive testing of web applications.

•   Build and maintain automated UI tests with Selenium, Cypress, or a similar framework.

•   Test REST APIs with Postman, covering positive, negative, and edge cases.

• Log clear, reproducible defects with steps, evidence, and severity, and verify each fix.

• Run smoke and regression tests before every release.

• Report test progress, coverage, and open risks to the client team, in writing and in team meetings.

Requirements

Must have

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing or QA.

• Solid manual testing skills: test case design, exploratory testing, and regression testing.

• Working experience with at least one UI automation framework: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• API testing experience with Postman or a similar tool.

• Experience with a defect tracker such as Jira and with Agile or Scrum teams.

• Good written and spoken English. You will work directly with an overseas team every day.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.

• A stable internet connection of at least 10 Mbps and a quiet, private place to work.

Nice to have

•   ISTQB Foundation Level certification.

•   Test automation scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.

• Running automated tests in a CI pipeline such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Basic SQL for checking test data.

• Performance testing with JMeter or k6.

• Mobile app testing on Android and iOS.
