∎ The SBCC SPECIALIST will work to develop a coherent & effective SBCC strategy & monitor results of its implementation through partners. S/he will provide expertise (guidance and technical support, training, coaching and management) support to the programme team on social and behavior change communication (SBCC) interventions with particular focus on pre and post Nutrition and WASH campaigns.
∎ The Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) Specialist will work with the PMU unit of R2G project and will be responsible for providing overall technical assistance for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of SBCC strategies as well as building the capacity of ACF partners, Consortium members and their frontline workers in SBCC. S/he will ensure the utilization of best practices and global learning to inform the development of effective SBCC strategies, frameworks, tools, materials for R2G interventions.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ OBJECTIVE 1: PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION:
∎ Provide technical leadership and guidance to the R2G programme by supporting establishment of standards and quality of SBCC materials and activities.
∎ Engage in R2G's SBCC technical activities, as requested. This may include leading activities such as literature reviews, and developing formative research protocols, and assisting in qualitative and quantitative research analysis, developing behaviour profiles to assist in strategy formulation, identifying behavioural outcome indicators, and supporting project monitoring and reporting.
∎ Lead the design and implement SBCC, identify innovative approaches including results measurements, to show achievement of programme targets.
∎ Lead, quality assurance & contribute to development, roll-out, & evaluation of SBCC strategies & plan; including advocacy for multi-sectoral interventions, resource mobilization, programme communication, community dialogues, inclusiveness, gender & equity.
∎ Provide technical support, training and leadership in the development of SBCC strategies and support the development of materials such as SBCC tools, training modules and job aids.
∎ Support teams in developing monthly and quarterly work plans, including messages to be prioritized and campaigns to take place.
∎ Ensure community participation, feedback and accountability in all aspects of the project.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely reporting of SBCC activities to the line manager and R2G Team Leader at PMU.
∎ OBJECTIVE 2: PROGRAMME CYCLE MANAGEMENT:
∎ Prepare regular narrative reports on programme activities in collaboration with the R2G Program Manager for internal management purposes and for Consortium members, etc.
∎ Ensure the allocated budget is utilized effectively and any necessary adjustments are requested in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure all aspects of SBCC activities adhere to programme quality standards and policies in a coherent and integrated manner.
∎ Ensure that the SBCC activities are accurately reflected and integrated in the MEAL system, identifying activities to be monitored and data to be collected.
∎ OBJECTIVE 3: CAPACITY BUILDING:
∎ Identify SBCC capability gaps amongst key partners and initiate relevant and targeted capacity building activities.
∎ Build the programme capacity in social mobilisation and behaviour change communications. S/he will work with Consortium members and partners to also initiate and carry out relevant capacity strengthening of our key stakeholders such as Ministries of Health, national partners, media and others related to SBCC.
∎ Build the capacity of ACF partners and their frontline workers in SBCC and providing regular technical guidance and support for Consortium members, government and partner staff through mentoring, coaching and on-demand technical assistance.
∎ OBJECTIVE 4: OTHER:
∎ Represent ACF at forums of R2G, Consortium Coordination and capacity building programs organized by Donors, Consortium members and other stakeholder.
∎ Represent ACF in good manner while dealing with Community, community members and other stakeholder.
∎ Ensure the highest stands of accountability through ensuring good communication and information sharing within and outside the organization including Consortium members.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager Mission 3: Human Resources Capacity Building, Logistics Arrangement and Financial Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience working with emergency as well as medium to large scale development projects dealing with Health and Nutrition
∎ Experience: At least 5 -8 years of professional experience at country level with 2-3 years' prior experience in a similar or comparable position
∎ Strong experience in CMAM Programme setup
∎ Having the experience of Hygiene promotional activity in the WASH sector will be added value
∎ Experience of working with international and local partners
∎ Skill:
∎ ENGLISH: Professional Written and spoken
∎ Word, Excel, Power Point Access
∎ Experience working/living in remote and difficult areas
∎ Strong flexibility is required in terms of mobility and working hours
∎ Willing to travel often and cope with minimal personal space
Salary:
∎ Gross monthly Salary BDT 131,000/-
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: End of Contract Benefits: 30 days of salary per year of service (No eligibility pro-rated under 1 year)
∎ Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year).

∎ Maternity Benefit: 3 (three) basic salary.
