Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical assistance in development and implementation of rigorous social and behavior change strategy and materials for MR, PAC, FP, and SGBV related issues and services.
∎ Support in conducting baseline/formative assessments, integrating user-centered design principles and processes, to identify and develop acceptable approaches for communicating messages on MR, PAC, contraceptive care, and GBV to women, adolescents, and other key stakeholders.
∎ Provides technical assistance and support to design printing material and tools based on needs/formative assessment.
∎ Assist in developing and implementing SBC interventions to improve knowledge and practices of women and adolescents in slum areas around care-seeking for MR, PAC, contraceptive care, and SGBV services
∎ Assist Sr. Advisor, Communications and SBC to complete detailed strategy write-ups, work plans, creative briefs and delivers quarterly reports including reviewing reports and deliverables from partners and all other reporting requirements.
∎ Maintain regular coordination with partner organizations for smooth implementation of their work plans.
∎ Support in developing youth engagement strategy and interventions for promoting message and information, and promoting healthy practices related to MR, PAC, FP and aware about rights issues related to SGBV.
∎ Assist in developing contents and manuals, conducting training/orientation for youth volunteers and to develop communication skills and social media use by the youth for social mobilization toward adopting healthy behaviors
∎ Coordinate with concern personnel and stakeholders in developing gender-sensitive messaging and training materials for project activities.
∎ Provide support and ensure the quality of the work of partners’ and staff working on SBC
∎ Conduct periodic assessments of knowledge about SBC strategy approach and messages on MR, PAC, contraceptive care and SGBV among selected UPHCSDP
∎ Assist in developing strategy and tools to facilitate youth engagement and develop SRHR champions among adolescents and youth living in slum areas
∎ Prepare monthly and quarterly plan and get approval for field visits to monitor SBC and other outreach activities implemented by partners. Share field findings with supervisor and partners.
∎ Support to plan and implement special events and days including World Population Day, World Women’s Day etc. and prepare report and best practices.
∎ Disseminate information on MR, PAC, and contraceptive service needs and availability through effective messaging targeting slum population and informed by the formative assessment.
∎ Maintain liaise and relationships with government officials, specially DGFP and DGHS EIC technical committee for approval of new materials and messages and adaptation/ modification of the existing ones.
∎ Assist in preparing SBC activities, relevant project work plans, reports, budgets and field visit schedules on a regular basis
∎ Write success stories and reports on SBC approaches or interventions and provide examples of successes, challenges, lessons learned and recommendations
∎ Support to conduction of periodic assessments of outreach workers’ knowledge about update messages on MR, PAC, contraceptive care and SGBV and SBC interventions.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5+ years’ experience in SBC program design, implementation and monitoring
∎ 3+ years’ experience on public health communication, education, or SBC program
∎ Good writing and verbal communication skill in Bangla and English
∎ Understanding of interventions around the provision of medical abortions
∎ Must have working knowledge of conceptualizing, implementing and monitoring of SBC initiatives.
∎ Experience in evidence generation, public health research, SBC program evaluation is preferred.
∎ Ability to travel in the field at least 40%

Salary:
∎ Ipas Bangladesh will offer an annual salary of BDT 1,296,000 to 1,320,000 and other benefits as per organizational policies.
